Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with experience in property damage claims to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the insurance claim process, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to assist management, attorneys and adjusters in managing their daily workload. Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys and adjusters in managing property damage claim related tasks
Prepare, revise and organize claim files, legal documents, and correspondence.
Review and interpret insurance policies.
Maintain client records, case tracking systems, and ensure timely follow-up on claim statuses and deadlines.
Coordinate communication between clients, insurance companies, public adjusters, and attorneys.
Support the preparation of necessary documentation for claims.
Manage deadlines, court filings, and schedules for depositions and hearings.
Conduct research related to property damage claims, insurance policies, and coverage issues.
Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on their claims/requests.
Handle administrative tasks, including file management, data entry, and office support.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal with a focus on property damage claims.
Familiarity with the insurance industry, including first-party claims, commercial claims, A.L.E., and litigation support.
Strong organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
Strong ability to meet deadlines.
Contract review and editing experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive client information.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with attorneys or adjusters on property damage litigation or claims.
Knowledge of insurance claims processes, commercial and residential.
Familiarity with insurance regulations is a plus.
