Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Paralegal to join our client's Legal & Compliance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside senior corporate attorneys in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in legal documentation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

This role requires a commitment to excellence and attention to detail, as well as a proactive and team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist senior attorneys by reviewing contracts, trading agreements, and other critical legal documents.
Manage the execution process for legal documents, including coordinating signatures through DocuSign and physical methods.
Handle a high volume of legal and compliance-related tasks with precision and efficiency.
Maintain and audit internal legal databases, ensuring accuracy and organization.
Support ad hoc projects, including responding to internal audit requests and preparing materials for banking and regulatory needs.
Generate reports and compile information from various internal systems.
Act as a liaison for document retrieval requests and records management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a legal environment, such as a legal assistant, paralegal, or related role.
Strong familiarity with legal documents and file types.
Impeccable attention to detail and a proven ability to handle time-sensitive tasks.
Willingness to work overtime as needed (approximately 50-55 hours per week).

Employment Type: Two-Year Contract (approximate)

Compensation: $27-$34/hour (commensurate with experience)
