We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join our St. Petersburg team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of legal assistant experience, with a background in General Liability Litigation.
This position is in person 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Managing Office and Attorney Calendars:
- Review attorney calendar weekly and send reminders regarding upcoming deadlines
- Ensure all deadlines are met
- Create and send calendar invites as requested
- Document Management and Drafting:
- Prepare shells for various documents; finalize documents before filing
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records; help maintain case files
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- E-Filing:
- File legal documents electronically with courts and other external bodies
- Ensure compliance with all filing requirements
- Expense and Bar/CLE Management:
- Submit attorney expenses in a timely manner
- Maintain attorney bar admissions, CLE credits, and various professional association memberships.
- Meeting and Trial Preparation:
- Assist in preparing materials for depositions, hearings, trials, and other meetings
- Ensure all necessary documentation is in order
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years legal assistant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications
- Must be able to think critically and independently tackle new challenges
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
