Crow Estate Planning & Probate, PLC is a reputable and fast-growing estate planning law firm with offices in Nashville, TN, Clarksville, TN, Springfield, TN, and Hopkinsville, KY. Our mission is to provide our clients with exceptional legal services in the areas of estate planning, probate, conservatorships, and business planning. We currently have 18 employees, including 8 attorneys.
We are seeking a full-time attorney with a strong focus on estate planning and probate for our Clarksville office. The ideal candidate will have experience and a genuine passion for working directly with clients, as our practice is highly client-centric. This is a fast-paced, demanding position involving daily interactions with multiple clients, making it an excellent fit for individuals who thrive on personal engagement and building relationships. Candidates who prefer limited client interaction may find this role less suitable.

Our Clientele
Our typical client is 50 years old or older, primarily female, a grandparent, on the conservative side, and has retired or is about to retire. They rightfully expect a high level of client service, personal attention, and superior expertise. Our goal is to provide an excellent customer experience for the client and build our relationship with them to better understand their goals and the legacy they seek to protect.
The Right Fit For This Position
- Candidates should possess at least 5+ years experience and an understanding and familiarity in federal gift, estate, and generation-skipping taxes.
- Extreme preference will be given to applicants holding an LLM in estate planning, CPA certification, or substantially concentrated in estate planning in law school. These qualifications signify a high level of dedication to mastering the nuances of this field.
- This position demands a fast-paced work schedule. However, our team is deeply committed, highly supportive, and values collaboration.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues alike. They should be able to translate complex legal concepts into easily understandable terms, all while maintaining professionalism.

Please note that candidates that have some background in estate planning will be heavily favored. If you are looking to transition from a completely different practice area, such as criminal law or personal injury, we are likely not the best fit for you.
Key Responsibilities
Estate Planning:
- Draft and review legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and living wills.
- Provide legal advice to clients on estate planning strategies to ensure asset protection, tax minimization, and the distribution of wealth according to their wishes.
- Conduct client interviews to gather information and understand their estate planning needs and goals.
Probate:
- Represent personal representatives to administer the distribution of decedent's estates.
- Advise clients on the collection, valuation, and distribution of assets; prepare and file necessary court documents such as inventories and accountings.
- Advise on the settlement of debts and taxes, and the resolution of any disputes among beneficiaries or third parties.
Conservatorships:
- File petitions for the appointment of conservators and represent clients in conservatorship proceedings.
- Advise conservators on their duties and responsibilities, including asset management, care arrangements, and reporting requirements.
- Assist in managing the affairs of incapacitated adults, ensuring their financial and personal well-being.
Business Planning:
- Advise business owners on legal aspects of business formation, structure, governance, and succession planning.
- Create LLCs, corporations, and partnerships
- Draft, review, and negotiate business agreements and contracts, such as partnership agreements, operating agreements, and buy-sell agreements.
- Provide legal guidance on compliance with federal, state, and local laws affecting the business.
Real Estate:
- Represent buyers, sellers, and investors in real estate transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating purchase agreements, leases, and financing documents.
- Represent individuals in quiet title actions and partition suits.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain current knowledge of laws and regulations in estate planning, probate, conservatorships, business planning, and real estate.
- Establish and maintain client relationships, providing high-quality legal advice and service.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as accountants, financial advisors, and real estate agents, to provide comprehensive services to clients.
- Participate in business development activities to expand the firm’s client base and areas of service.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics, upholding the firm's reputation and client trust.
- Contribute to team efforts, supporting junior staff and providing mentorship when needed
