Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our firm The successful candidate will provide essential support to attorneys in all phases of the litigation process, from case inception to trial and beyond. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and research skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Salary depends on level of experience, knowledge, and skills possessed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management:
- Assist with case organization and management, including electronic file management.
- Conduct legal research, including online databases, legal treatises, and court documents.
- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, hearings, and other court appearances.
- Maintain accurate time records and billing entries.
- Calendar case events and deadlines.
- Discovery:
- Assist with the collection, review, and production of documents in electronic and paper formats.
- Conduct document reviews and assist with privilege logs.
- Prepare for and assist with depositions and other discovery proceedings.
- Trial Preparation:
- Assist with the preparation of trial exhibits, witness lists, and trial notebooks.
- Assist with the organization and presentation of trial evidence.
- Client Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with clients and attorneys regarding case progress and deadlines.
- Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Other Duties as Assigned:
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervising attorneys, including administrative tasks and special projects.
