Job Summary
The Gibbs Law Firm is a boutique personal injury law firm with a well established track record of obtaining high six-figure to multi-million-dollar results. We are seeking a skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and team player with experience in handling personal injury claims and cases, from inception to conclusion. The ideal candidate will also possess strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple cases, including those in pre-litigation and litigation. The ideal candidate would have prior experience as a plaintiff's attorney and/or have natural leadership qualities when it comes to managing and delegating various tasks to support staff.
Responsibilities
- As a Personal Injury Attorney at The Gibbs Law Firm, you will be responsible for effectively representing clients injured due to the negligence of others.
- Develop case strategies and arguments, as well as ensure our clients receive fair compensation for their injuries.
- Attend depositions, mediations, and other court related matters on behalf of our clients.
- Ensure clients are routinely informed about the progress of their case and provide diligent guidance throughout the legal process.
- Ensure strict compliance with legal ethics and professional standards of conduct.
- Conduct weekly meetings with your designated support staff and ensure cases are being advanced in a proper and effective manner.
- Represent clients in court and during negotiations with insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other third-parties involved in the case.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, as well as settlement demands.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure effective case management.
- Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents
- Knowledge of law office procedures and practices
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide solutions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
