One of the nation's leading Personal Injury law firms is seeking a Legal Assistant. The Legal Assistant is a key member of a legal team responsible for finalizing cases after a settlement agreement has been reached. This role collaborates closely with paralegals and team supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient case closure.
An ideal candidate will be bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish, detail oriented and a great multi-tasker. An outgoing personality with a knack for teamwork and client interaction is highly desirable for this role. Also a Spanish language proficiency is a big plus as well as having experience in the personal injury field.
Legal Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtain signed settlement agreements from clients.
- Negotiate and reduce outstanding medical bills.
- Resolve lien interests by communicating with relevant entities.
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters to secure payments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding settlement updates and case status.
- Ensure a seamless and supportive experience for clients, including obtaining feedback and reviews.
- Manage administrative tasks required to complete the case closure process.
Legal Assistant Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required. College degree a big plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal or administrative role.
- Experience in client-facing or high-volume environments is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with case management software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Spanish bilingual proficiency is a big plus.
The position pays a starting base up to $20.00 an hour. There are bonus incentives that can add an additional $100-$300 a month or more on top of the base as well as a year end bonus. Full health insurance with 100% premiums paid by the employer. 401k too.
