Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Attorney with strong financial acumen and a strategic mindset to advise on corporate, insurance, and estate planning matters. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, analytical, and business-savvy, with experience in investment structures, regulatory compliance, and asset protection.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Legal and Financial Counsel
Advise on corporate governance, financial transactions, and investment structures
Provide risk management strategies for high-net-worth assets and businesses
Ensure regulatory compliance across tax, corporate, and investment laws
Corporate Transactions and Investment Structuring
Draft and negotiate private equity, real estate, and alternative asset agreements
Support mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, assessing legal risks and opportunities
Collaborate with financial teams to align legal and investment strategies
Estate and Tax Planning
Develop sophisticated trusts, wills, and estate planning strategies
Work with financial planners on tax optimization and wealth preservation
Ensure seamless integration of legal and financial frameworks
Regulatory Compliance and Insurance Law
Monitor and adapt to corporate, tax, and financial regulations
Provide legal guidance on insurance policies, claims, and risk management
Oversee compliance with financial reporting and investment regulations
Litigation Support and Special Projects
Manage external counsel for business disputes, tax issues, and litigation
Draft legal documents, discovery responses, and settlement agreements
Handle high-priority legal projects supporting executive leadership
Qualifications
Required
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
One to three years of legal experience in corporate law, financial services law, or insurance law
Active Florida law license or eligibility to waive in
Strong knowledge of financial markets, tax planning, and investment structures
Experience drafting contracts and negotiating business transactions
Exceptional problem-solving and business acumen
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
Strong research, writing, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience in insurance law, private equity, hedge funds, or investment structuring
Background in a family office, financial institution, or corporate legal department
Familiarity with estate planning for high-net-worth individuals
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis and financial modeling
