Paralegal

Primary Functions:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide legal assistance and administrative support in the management, review and negotiation of company contracts; help manage the company's intellectual property rights and properties; provide support for the company's corporate governance function; support the company's conflicts minerals compliance program; provide support for the company's Legal team.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Assist with reviewing, drafting and negotiating customer contracts, vendor agreements, leases, nondisclosure agreements and other contracts.
2. Assist in training internal clients on contract forms and procedures and act as company resource for contract questions.
3. Assist counsel in the management of intellectual property rights and properties.
4. Perform legal research and compile data on legal matters.
5. File, renew and keep records of various business licenses and permits.
6. Assist in the formation and dissolution of corporations and companies.
7. Support the company's compliance program (i.e. conflict minerals compliance, OFAC and FCPA compliance).
8. Manage, organize, and archive documents with software tools and technology.
9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned by CEO/President.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a paralegal or in a similar legal administrative role
• Paralegal certification is a plus
• Organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task.
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Strong research and report-generating skills
• Experience in using legal database software.
• The ability to read and comprehend legal documents, statutes, laws, rules, and regulations.
• Experience working in the transportation and logistics industry is preferred.
