Full-time - Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
May be required to work some after hours, weekends, and/or holidays/
Primary Responsibilities
This position serves as secretary to the Franklin County Attorney. You will prepare various correspondence, legal documents, and reports under the general supervision and perform a full range of administrative duties, including maintaining office calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating court events, and answering inquiries from the public or employees of other agencies over the telephone, in-person, or by email. You will perform transcription and dictation tasks as required, manage intake sheets, prioritize cases, and must be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain the status of cases being handled.
Qualifications
You should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse audience. As a Legal Secretary, you should have a knowledge of legal terminology and administrative procedures and the ability to interpret legal documents and reports. You will have a familiarity with applicable local, State, and Federal laws, codes, and regulations. Proficiency in the use of the Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) is essential.
