You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of KFC’s Legal Department by facilitating key legal processes, coordinating compliance initiatives, and supporting business-critical legal functions. Your mission will be to drive operational efficiency and enhance cross-functional collaboration by providing administrative assistance, streamlining processes, and managing key requirements.

- Strengthen legal efficiency by drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, agreements, and legal documents while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Streamline legal processes by supporting litigation hold management, responding to attorney representation letters, and overseeing franchisee tender letters.
- Optimize day-to-day operations in the Legal function by managing vendor relationships, tracking budgets, reviewing invoices through Legal Tracker, and preparing budget reports to ensure cost efficiency.
- Enable effective Legal support by overseeing the implementation and maintenance of legal technology, tools, and subscriptions.
- Uphold compliance in the organization and across franchisees by maintaining, organizing, and managing legal records, franchise files, and case documentation.
- Protect business integrity by overseeing confidentiality protocols, preserving trade secrets, and supporting risk management processes.
- Streamline legal compliance efforts by tracking regulatory requirements, including bar and CLE compliance, and maintaining records for ongoing adherence.
- Improve legal team effectiveness by tracking and reporting Legal Department KPIs, preparing insights, and analyzing data to drive informed decision-making.
- Upskill your team members and organizational partners by coordinating and facilitating legal education programs, cross-functional training sessions, and franchisee legal support initiatives.
- Support franchise health and system growth by gathering and organizing information for Franchise Disclosure Documents and collaborating with stakeholders on franchisee agreements.
Education/Certifications
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in corporate administrative roles with a Bachelor’s, no experience required with a Master’s.
- Prior experience in a legal setting as a paralegal or legal administrative assistant preferred.
- Strong team player that contributes to a positive and productive team environment; able to build strong relationships with teammates and stakeholders to deliver on day-to-day mission.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
- Strong organizational skills to manage workload and schedules effectively.
