Corporate Litigation Counsel

Role Summary

Corporate Counsel / Litigation Unleashed Brands is looking for a highly motivated team player to join our growing legal team. You will work closely with senior leadership and report directly to the General Counsel, building trusted relationships across cross-functional teams and with external partners. We operate with minimal hierarchy—your ideas and contributions will make an immediate impact. This is not a remote position. The candidate will be required to work in the Corporate office in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. This position will include the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Claims & Litigation Management: Oversee and manage all general liability, workers’ compensation, and employment-related litigation matters in collaboration with outside counsel, insurance brokers, and claims adjusters.
• Insurance & Risk Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between Unleashed Brands and outside insurance partners, including brokers and third-party adjusters, ensuring timely and accurate communication and resolution of claims.
• Policy Development: Develop and implement strategies to reduce litigation risk and legal spend. Draft and implement terms of use, internal policies, consumer disclosures, and other compliance-focused documentation.
• Legal Strategy: Provide practical, strategic legal advice across a wide range of business initiatives.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other legal team members and business partners to drive consistency, share insights, and support business goals.
• Negotiation: Participate in mediations, arbitration, and settlement conferences as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of relevant legal experience in-house and/or at a law firm
• Experience managing litigation related to general liability, workers’ compensation, and employment matters
• Proven ability to collaborate with and manage external legal counsel, insurance brokers, and claims professionals
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and vendor agreements
• Exceptional communication skills and sound business judgment
• Familiarity with insurance coverage issues and claims handling processes
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear and actionable business guidance
• JD from an accredited law school and active membership in the Texas State Bar
