Now, we're looking for a talented attorney to join our legal team and help us continue to innovate and provide exceptional service.
The Assistant General Counsel, Privacy & Product role is a critical addition to our legal team and will report to our Assistant General Counsel. You will be the in-house expert on privacy law, negotiating commercial contracts, strategic partnerships, and day-to-day legal operations. You will also collaborate closely with our estate planning expert on product development. This role is for someone who is passionate about technology, privacy, and the law, and who is looking to take ownership of their work and make a significant impact.

You are an experienced attorney with a strong background in privacy law and a keen interest in product development. You are ready to take on the responsibility of owning the privacy domain within the company and are excited about the opportunity to support a dynamic legal team. You are a proactive self-starter, comfortable with both leading initiatives and collaborating across departments. You have a knack for simplifying complex legal concepts and aligning legal strategies with business objectives.
You thrive in fast-paced environments and are adept at managing a diverse workload, including contract negotiation, compliance, and system management. About the Role:
With support from the Legal team, you will:
- Lead the company's privacy program, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including advice and counseling on artificial intelligence.
- Help operationalize privacy and introduce scalable solutions to improve management of privacy tickets, data records, PIAs and other privacy projects
- Identify and mitigate legal risks throughout the product lifecycle, proposing adjustments or alternative solutions as necessary

- Collaborate with our in-house Legal team on estate planning product development that fosters innovation while managing risk.
- Handle a variety of commercial contracts, focusing on inbound and procurement agreements as well as strategic partnerships for the company.
- Forge and maintain strategic partnerships that contribute to the company's growth.
- Oversee the configuration and management of our contract management system.
- Provide comprehensive legal support for day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong focus on privacy law.
- Experience in technology or product development within a legal framework.
- Proven track record of managing commercial contracts and strategic partnerships.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future required.

- Our salary range for this position is $163,000- $200,000, in addition to compensation we also include an employee equity package as a component of our offer along with other benefits and perks outlined below.
