We are looking for a highly motivated Litigation Counsel to join our team. You will report to the Practices - Division Counsel and be responsible for litigation-related matters. You are tech savvy, business friendly, possess exceptional project management skills, and are accustomed to working with people all over the world. We are seeking a self-starter who thrives in a fun but results-oriented work environment, and is passionate about problem-solving while showing great attention to detail.
- Responsible for a variety of general litigation matters throughout the USA and Canada, including managing outside counsel.
- Respond to third party subpoenas, court orders, and warrants in line with applicable privacy and other laws.
- Responsible for addressing and resolving user complaints escalated for legal review.
- Provide litigation support in employment cases and mediations, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, etc.
- Work on legal compliance projects, including but not limited to new policies, new statutory compliance initiatives, trainings, templates, and processes.
- Stay updated on legal developments across U.S. jurisdictions to effectively mitigate litigation-related risks.
- Provide litigation risk analysis and legal advice to a cross-functional team of lawyers in all practice areas, including Product, Privacy, Contracting, Staffing, IP, and Marketing.
- Provide creative and business-focused problem-solving that balances legal risk and business impact.
- Think collaboratively to create common sense solutions to complex problems.
- Lawyer in good standing with any US Bar, with an outstanding academic record.
- Sound legal judgment, initiative, and versatility, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- At least 4+ years litigation experience, including experience in state and federal courts, as well as arbitrations, mediations, and administrative actions (e.g. EEOC, DOL).
- Experience responding to third party subpoenas and discovery requests
- Trial experience including advising employers or legal partners on litigation strategy, coordinating witness statements, document gathering from relevant stakeholders, motions practice, preparing cases for trial, and appearing in court.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach to the practice of law. Flexible, well-organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced internet and technology environment. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with little oversight.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
