PURPOSE: The CR2 Court Liaison provides direct services to CR2 clients through attending court hearings, participating in treatment team meetings, conducting chart audits, and facilitating skills groups.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) Training within 90 days of hire and provide proof of completion to KIHRS Human Resources and CR2 Program Staff Manager.
- Attends court and engages with prospective legal client before and/ or after court
- Review client’s legal documentation in chart and history with KIHRS to determine eligibility for CR2 programming
- Assume responsibility for monitoring the progress of up to 70 CR2 clients
- Ensure warm hand-off for CR2 eligible referrals to KIHRS scheduling department.
- May administer drug test according to KIHRS policies and procedures for CR2 clients as needed and document according to KIHRS policies in the client chart
- Attend Interdisciplinary Team Meetings (IDTM) for assigned CR2 clients as required and provide input
- Conduct chart audits at least 2 days prior to scheduled IDTMs to monitor CR2 client progress and ensure chart completion
- Provide ineligible CR2 referrals with external resources to engage in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment services
- Document client interactions in client charts according to KIHRs policies and procedures
- Ensure appropriate release of information (ROI) is present to communicate with client’s assigned probation/parole, pre-trial officer
- Update client chart after hearings with most up-to-date court orders
- Complete monthly treatment progress reports for assigned CR2 clients by the 26th of the month and send via secured email to the referring source by the 1st of the month.
- Coordinate transportation of clients to hearing(s) and may transport clients if needed
- Conduct two skills groups within the 5 CCSS domains for CR2 clients weekly for a total of 3 hours a week.
- Attend CR2 weekly meetings.
- Engage in at least biweekly supervision with CR2 Program Field Staff Manager
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position requires working on a computer with monitors for extended periods of time
- Position may be in shared office setting.
- Transporting KIHRS clients as needed for court hearings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized
- Valid driver’s license and current car insurance with reliable transportation
- Understanding of the legal system including probation and parole and subpoena processes
- Understanding of KIHRS Models and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Previous experience working in a behavioral health clinic setting, a plus
- Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW), preferred
