Job Summary
Located in Eastern Washington, Moberg Law Group, P.S. provides a combination of passion and considerable litigation experience to clients across the state of Washington. The Attorneys at MLG have over 70 years experience in Municipality, Medical Malpractice Defense and General Litigation.
This position offers the opportunity for the attorney to develop and hone high-level litigation and trial skills. Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are required. As an Associate Attorney with our firm you will provide consultations, review new cases, manage your own case load, take depositions, and travel to and from hearings. Successful candidates will be drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs, preparing for and attending court hearings (including trials); taking and defending depositions; and communicating with clients and opposing counsel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs for various areas of law.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations, effectively advocating for their interests.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide assistance in litigation processes.
- Maintain accurate records of case files and ensure compliance with legal procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case status and address any concerns.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact client cases.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures.
- Excellent research skills with proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw.
- Ability to write clearly and persuasively for various legal documents.
- Strong litigation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients in court.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in managing case files.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Candidates must be a member of the Washington State Bar Association (or the bar association of another state and able to obtain Washington state bar association membership within a reasonable period).
- Candidates must reside in Washington or plan to relocate.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
