A prestigious law firm in San Diego, CA specializing in catastrophic personal injury defense and transportation law is seeking a Senior Attorney to join their team. This role involves handling complex motions, supporting partners with high-exposure cases, and ensuring meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Catastrophic Personal Injury Defense, passionate about their work, and the ability to work independently.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $200,000 / year DOE

Senior Attorney Requirements:

5-15+ years of experience in Catastrophic Personal Injury Defense within Auto Accidents with large
and complex claims
Trial experience required
Extensive experience with expert discovery, including working with damage experts and neurologists
Clear understanding of medical billing / medical records and how it can be applicable to cases
Proficiency in taking and defending depositions
Extensive experience writing motions from beginning to appeal
Barred in California
Thorough attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to think critically and work effectively
Able to work independently but also team oriented
Ability to work onsite from their office in San Diego, CA at least 4x a week

Senior Attorney Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of approximately 20 cases, including transportation defense and personal injury
Review and understand complete case files, developing strategies and game plans
Ensure timely and accurate reporting, including status reports, litigation plans, and event reports
Conduct site inspections and in-depth discovery
Write and file motions, including motions for summary judgment, to compel, and trial motions
Take and defend depositions, and work with experts
Mentor and assist younger attorneys
