Legal Assistant - Financial Services - Boston, MA

We are seeking candidates for a Legal Assistant with a highly successful financial services firm located in Boston, MA. This candidate will have a strong background in legal documentation and finance. This role involves reviewing credit facility agreements, extracting and analyzing critical data, and ensuring accurate submission for loan applications. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate legal and financial documentation efficiently.

This is a 6+ month contract position that will pay $24-25/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This position is required to be onsite 2-3 days per week in their Boston office.

Responsibilities:

Review and analyze legal agreements for credit facilities, extracting relevant data for accurate submission into loan application systems.
Maintain clear and professional oral and written communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure meticulous attention to detail in data handling, documentation, and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support loan processing and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation, data organization, and report preparation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (BA) required.
2+ years of experience in legal billing, with a preference for candidates with a background in legal operations.
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
