Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases and legal issues
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Collaborate with colleagues and experts to build strong cases
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the field of litigation
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar of California
- Proven experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong knowledge of legal research methods and resources, such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
- Sensitive to different cultures as we represent many international clients
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
