Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Education Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education law, exceptional legal skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of school districts. This role involves representing school districts in various legal matters, including IEP meetings, due process hearings, and compliance issues.
Responsibilities:
- Represent school districts in special education legal matters.
- Provide legal advice and consultation on special education issues.
- Assist with the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans.
- Represent clients in due process hearings and mediation.
- Conduct staff training on special education laws and compliance.
- Develop and implement policies to ensure legal compliance.
- Collaborate with school administrators and educators to address legal concerns.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in special education law.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, ADA, Section 504, and other relevant laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and provide strategic advice.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
