Innovative Driven is currently seeking a Litigation Assistant to join the dynamic team at a vibrant and forward-thinking NYC boutique law firm! With offices in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and NYC, the firm is poised for tremendous growth in support of its corporate clients.
The position will be onsite, Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm in the firm's 5th Avenue office!
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of litigation experience, strong organizational skills, and a team-oriented mindset. They are looking for a humble, professional, dedicated candidate to be the conductor "keeping the trains on the tracks" for their busy team!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with partners, attorneys, paralegals, and the Executive Director to ensure effective litigation support and smooth office operations
- Prepare, proofread, and finalize motions, briefs, and other legal documents for filing.
- Generate and format Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA)
- Finalize documents using Acrobat Pro, ensuring proper bookmarking, formatting, and compliance with court filing standards.
- Collaborate with the paralegal team to gather, review, and organize exhibits, appendices, and other supporting materials.
- Ensure state and federal filing compliance
- Maintain current case details, deadlines, and court information.
- Ensure timely document management
- Ensure document security and accessibility in line with firm protocols.
- Collaborate with the Litigation Support Team and Litigation Support Practice Manager
- Assist with general office coordination, mail and shipping, and administrative support, as needed while the firm brings on additional staff to assist.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5+ years of litigation support experience in a law firm is required
- Proficiency in litigation technology and tools, including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, iManage, PACER, eFiling platforms, and Best Authorities.
