CEB is recruiting a part-time Legal Content Specialist to assist with a specialized research and analysis projects over the course of the next year (with possibility of becoming permanent). This role will focus on reading, analyzing, and summarizing California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) filings. This role is perfect for an attorney or other legal professional who loves research and writing, thrives working independently, and can help us tailor the research projects.

Qualifications
- Legal Knowledge Experience and in-depth knowledge of current legal statutes (Preferred)
- Excellent legal research skills including the use of electronic online research tools, such as Westlaw and Lexis, and citation verification programs. (Required)
- Excellent analytical skills; demonstrated command of the English language. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to edit, revise, and update material accurately and thoroughly in assigned substantive areas. (Required)
- Excellent writing skills; strong editing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy and ability to clearly and effectively communicate legal developments in writing and verbally. (Required)
- Ability to adapt writing style to meet CEB guidelines for all delivery formats. (Required)
- Highly effective communication and collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team both within existing department, in other departments and outside of CEB. (Required)
- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to effectively manage time, work in an organized and detailed manner to meet tight deadlines, keep accurate records, and produce desired results. (Required)
- Excellent problem solving skills; ability to be flexible and proactive. (Required)
- Proficient in standard personal computer applications such as MS Office applications (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel), Westlaw, Lexis, and cite checking programs. (Required)
- Proficiency in SharePoint and Arbortext Editor desirable. (Preferred)
- Ability to independently utilize all standard computer hardware and multiple software applications simultaneously. (Required)
- Ability to navigate and participate effectively in social media websites. (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
- Bachelor's Degree BA in related area and/or equivalent experience/training (Required)
- Juris Doctor (JD) Degree (Preferred)
- Paralegal Certification (Preferred)
