Position Overview:
The Resolution Specialist manages high-volume negotiations with law firms and creditors while ensuring compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The primary objective is to secure agreements that reduce our client’s debt balances.
Responsibilities:
- Use negotiation strategies and tactics to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining positive relationships.
- Analyze legal, financial, and factual aspects of each case to propose reasonable settlement terms.
- Ability to counter-offer terms received by parties, either verbally or in writing.
- Demonstrate strong and firm negotiation skills while keeping client’s best interest in mind at all times.
- Ensure that the terms of settlements are implemented and followed according to the agreed-upon timeline.
- Provide reports and updates on settlement progress and outcomes.
- Document and track all settlements for audit purposes.
- Capacity to apply mathematical concepts in negotiation processes.
Minimum Requirements and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a metrics-driven, goal-oriented work environment.
- Experience building rapport with clients and creditors. (Debt Resolution experience is a plus.)
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office (specifically MS Excel)
- Experience managing multiple accounts while maintaining attention to detail.
