Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for law and possess a strong organizational skill set to support our legal team effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness
Assist in preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and real estate closing statements
Conduct legal research on various topics as needed
Manage and organize legal files and documents
Schedule appointments, meetings, and maintain attorney calendars
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as required
Handle phone calls with professionalism and discretion

Experience

Knowledge of law practices including Securities law, Estate planning, and Immigration law
Proficient in proofreading legal documents for accuracy
Experience in executive administrative support is a plus
Strong interviewing skills for gathering information from clients
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Exceptional organizational skills to maintain legal files efficiently

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
